My one good drawing, probably because the assignment was to grid the original picture and blow it up, square by square. In other words, I cheated. The real reason I think I will only draw well like this once was the motivation behind it. While transferring the face of my childhood role model onto paper, my lifetime idols were transferring an energy and perserverance into me to get the job done. Those idols, if you take note of the date this was drawn, were the men of the Canadian national team at the 2002 Winter Olympics. That team, on that very day, while I was drawing this picture, won gold.
